Getting 3G Price Information - Some Key 3G Information

3G price information has become increasingly important as new offers, mergers, distribution and other deals are being done in the marketplace.  We want to closely look at the 3g mobile space to see what the best 3g price deals are.  So bookmark our site and watch as we review the latest pricing information.

Many subscribers and others have complained about the high 3g price of the iPhone and other mobile handsets, but in particular the iPhone 3GS, which has a starting price at $200 for 16GB and $300 for 32GB 3GS in the United States.

However, things get far worse in China.  3G prices there have been substantial with China Unicom selling iPhones with the 3g price tag for a 32GB iPhone 3GS in mainland China: 6,999 yuan, or $1,024.  Furthermmore, that 3g price does not include a service contract agreement.  In Hong Kong the same mobile phone sells for $800.

One of the major 3g price problems is that firms are competing head-to-head based largely on the nature of their handsets and devices.  They in fact need to break out of the mold of providing access for consumers and actually provide more targeted, relevant content for users.

Qualcomm for instance has said that 3g pricing issues should be altered so that rather than providing wireless Internet access they should be focused on offering a wide range of services via the mobile devices.

Overall, the increased range of services provided by 3g mobile providers will undoubtedly increase as the devices themselves alter.  However, the pricing issues related to various handhelds is something that consumers and users need to be increasingly aware of.  3g price information will be made more competitive, just as 3g mobiles themselves become more diverse and content-focused

3G Mobile And The Apple v. Nokia Row

Price wars have set up for 3G devices in various markets worldwide and you can see why when you look at the money Apple is making from its iPhone and the battle between Nokia and Apple. In the 3rd quarter of 2009, Apple earned $1.6 billion from its iPhone and grabbed the top-profits spot from rival Nokia, who earned $1.1 billion from their 3g price model.

This is the first time that analysts have seen Apple, the ingenious developer of 3G mobile products, surge past Nokia in the 3G mobile phone market.

The 3G price competition between marketers in this area has always been tight, but the context between Nokia and Apple is particularly intense, especially during 2009 and doubtless it will only intensify during 2010 too.

Apple's cell phone profits trailed those of Nokia by only $100 million, noted Spektor. For the second quarter of 2009, Nokia's earnings matched its third quarter results at $1.1 billion, while Apple's estimated earnings on the iPhone were $1 billion.

For Apple, which hit the cell phone market just over two years ago, its rank as the most profitable global mobile phone maker is impressive, said Spektor. In his report, he identified four key factors for the company's surge in cell phone profits.

One factor is the strong branding of the iPhone. "They created the iPhone as an easy-to-remember, sticks-in-your-mind type of brand," said Spektor. Each new iPhone is just one update on top of another, so the brand stays the same, and it's the same user experience.

3G Mobile Growth Sees 3G Price Changes

The growth of 3g mobile devices, including games and entertainment, means heightened competition in the 3g price arena.  3g price competition is intensifying in both domestic and international markets as players rival one another for the consumer's attention and that is of course good news.

One of the many 3g price issues coming up is the cost of streaming content on handsets, which has become one of the latest attractions for start-ups and investors and is something that has been triggered by the uptake of 3g handsets worldwide.

Look at India. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), there were 471.73 million wireless subscribers by the end of SeptemberAfter a lot of research, I found that I could get rid of my acne and clear my complexion just by eliminating some items from my diet.  I strongly recommend you give this treatment option a try because it won't cost you a thing and your skin will respond almost immediately.

In the United States, RadioShack have decided to sell the Apple iPhone 3g mobile devices and the iPhone 3GS, starting with some stores in November and then moving to a nationwide rollout of the Apple phones.

3G price competition has increased rivalry among various 3g mobile manufacturers.  For instance, High Tech Computer, which developed the first 3g smartphone handset based on Google's Android mobile operating system, saw annual revenues decline at the end of 2009 because of weak domestic sales and declining sales in Europe. The company's revenue fell 10 percent year on year to US$1 bilion.

Increased competition in the 3g mobile and smartphone market and the launch of the iPhone 3GS have hurt many smartphone makers, analysts say. Apple slashed the price of the iPhone 3G to US$99 when it launched the iPhone 3GS in June, and put a low, $199 price tag on the new handset.

3G Mobile Price Wars Affect ALL 3G Mobile

The fast development of 3G mobile has created not only competition within telephony, but of course also with computing devices like notebooks, netbooks and other 3G enabled mobile devices.  There is a stunning range of 3G mobile products now and as a result many consumers face the head-scratching role of deciding what to buy: netbook or iPhone, for instance.

Take the iPhone 3GS (or Motorola Droid or BlackBerry Storm, take your pick ). To state the obvious, in many respects, this is a personal computer platform for a variety of functions, from e-mail, texting, Web surfing, music, navigation, YouTube, and a whole lot more.  A consumer wanting a good 3G mobile device can look at a cheap Netbook or a more expensive notebook, or an iPhone (or similar).

The iPhone is for consuming data and media as well as light production. Like the Netbook. But the Netbook, obviously, takes this to the next level. It adds a keyboard and a larger screen, which also makes it potentially a better production platform. So, it's an iPhone Plus, if you will.

And here's the real proof in the pudding. Where do you see Netbooks being sold these days (think Nokia Booklet)? At phone carriers, like Verizon. The last time I visited a Verizon store, it had 3G Netbooks prominently displayed right next to the Motorola Droid.

There are so many choices here that personal preference overrides functionality and power, often.  You need to know what you need your 3G mobile device for - what are you going to do with it?  How is it going to work for you?  What data/video/music/net surfing are you going to need it for.  Once those questions are answered you can begin to select the 3G mobile device you really want.
